TaskBridge is operated by Palaemon Systems Inc. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We intend to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and phone number when you sign up.
- Location — the city or neighbourhood you provide so we can match you with nearby providers or buyers.
- Service requests and messages — the details of any job requests you post, and messages exchanged between you and other users on the platform.
- Payment confirmations — records of whether a payment was marked as sent or received. We do not process or store actual payment credentials — money moves directly between buyers and providers via e-Transfer or cash.
- Photos — any photos you upload as part of a service listing or job request.
- Reviews and ratings — feedback you leave after a completed job.
Why we collect it
- To create and manage your account.
- To connect buyers with providers in their area.
- To send you notifications about your requests, bookings, and messages.
- To maintain a record of completed jobs and payments for both parties.
- To improve the platform and resolve disputes if they arise.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever. We use the following services to operate the platform:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on their servers.
- Resend — the email service we use to send you notifications and booking confirmations.
- Vercel — the hosting platform that serves the website.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of users on the platform.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (for example, records of financial transactions).
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct any inaccuracies, and request that we delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at sai@palaemonsystems.com. We will respond within 30 days.
